Meet Natalie Arakelian
MFTA
Location: Wilsonville
Natalie is originally from Lake Oswego, Oregon. She earned her undergraduate degree from Oregon State University where she studied Human Development and Family sciences, in addition to her elementary education studies. She earned her Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University and completed her year-long internship training here at NW Mind-Body Wellness. Natalie has a particular interest in working with adolescents and teens, using age-appropriate approaches to create a safe, relatable, and supportive environment. As a trauma-informed therapist, she understands the unique challenges that
young people face, especially during critical stages of identity and relationship development.
As a systemic therapist, Natalie specializes in understanding and transforming relationships by viewing individuals within the context of their families, social networks, and communities. Drawing primarily from Structural Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, Natalie emphasizes the importance of family structure, boundaries, and hierarchies, helping clients to
identify and realign patterns that may hinder connection and well-being. Together, these modalities empower individuals and families to create healthier, more connected relationships
and navigate change with resilience. By meeting her clients where they are emotionally and developmentally, she helps them build resilience, navigate complex emotions, and develop
healthy relational skills that support long-term well-being.
Natalie lives in Oregon city with her dog, Moose and her cat, Timber. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, watching TV/movies, and lifting weights.
