Meet Yeva Thieleman
Yeva is originally from Tampa, Florida. She went to college at Oregon State University, where she studied psychology. She earned her master’s degree in psychology from Saint Leo University. Yeva has particular interest in the care of children and adolescents and has notable experience in crisis management and suicide prevention.
Yeva has several years’ experience in mental health. Before joining the team at NW Mind-Body Wellness, she worked at an inpatient psychiatric facility and for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Yeva completed her master’s thesis on attachment style in adulthood related to childhood family dynamics.
Prior to pursuing a career in mental health, Yeva was involved in astrophysics research. She worked with the NASA Symposium at Oregon State University. She discovered her passion for working in mental health through taking college courses and engaging in meaningful interactions with other people.
Yeva lives in the Portland area with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. In her free time, she likes to do yoga, read, and watch baseball games (go Mariners!).
